The End
By Zachary Anderson
This all started about a month ago, With the introduction to the senior poetry unit.
We had our fun, writing poetry about an array of different things. From love to lose, From Sitting in Kettenburg's class to playing lacrosse.
But the time has come For us to end. The ability to post poetry Will become a thing of the past.
The words will live on, Being read by people in the future. Going down in history As the senior class of 2008.
And in four months We will walk across that stage And grab our diplomas. Leaving Carrillo We will venture into the world.
Remember this site And look back at what your peers wrote. For when you are in a time of need The way out can be found here.
So say goodnight To 39poems.com and the people that joined you here. It has been a journey That was worth every second spent.
Goodnight and goodbye. (for now)

Zack you pointed out something very true. This site is full of people's feelings, and for each poem, there is at least one person that identifies with the poet's feeling. It's too bad that this site is getting shut down and that some people will never hear from those people that experience daily the ideas the poets presented in their words. Everyone deserves at least one nice comment.
Poetry isn't hard. As long as one writes from what they know and believe, they can't be wrong. Poetry says more of the heart and the mind than the body could ever express otherwise.
It's been fun, guys. -Christos Alexiou 02/08/2008
